In the following question two equations numbered I and II are given. You have to solve both the equations and -
I. 9x - 15.45 = 54.55 + 4x
II. \( \Large \sqrt{y + 155} - \sqrt{36} \) = \( \Large \sqrt{49} \)
A) x > y
B) x \( \Large \geq \) y
C) x < y
D) x = y or the relationship cannot be established
Correct answer:
D) x = y or the relationship cannot be established
Description for Correct answer:
I. 9x - 4x = 54.55 + 15.45
=> 5x = 70 => x = 14
II. \( \Large \sqrt{y + 155} \) = 7 + 6 = 13
=> y + 155 = 169
=> y = 169 - 155 = 14
