B is eighteen years older to A. The respective ratio of B's age six years hence and C's present age is 3 : 2. If at present C's age is twice the age of A, what was B's age four years ago ?
Correct Answer: Description for Correct answer:
Let A's present age = x
B's present age = x + 18
C's present age = 2x,
According to question,
\( \Large \frac{x + 18 + 6}{2x} \) = \( \Large \frac{3}{2} \)
x + 4 = 3x
x + 24 = 3x
2x = 24
x = 12
B's age 4 years before = x + 18 - 4
= x + 14
= 12 + 14 = 26 years
