2\( \large x^{2} \) + 7x + 4x + 14 = 0
x (2x + 7) + 2 (2x + 7) = 0
( 2x + 7 )(x + 2) = 0 => x = -2, -\( \Large \frac{7}{2} \)

4\( \large y^{2} \) + 12y + 9 =0
4\( \large y^{2} \) + 6y + 6y + 9 = 0
2y (2y + 3) + 3(2y + 3) = 0
(2y + 3)(2y + 3) = 0 => y = -\( \Large \frac{3}{2} \)
