Out of her monthly salary. Ridhi spends 34% various expenses. From the remaining, she gives \( \Large \frac{1}{6} \) th to her brother, \( \Large \frac{2}{3} \) rd to her sister and the remaining she keeps as savings. If the difference between the amounts she gave to her sister and brother was Rs 10,260/-, what was Ridhi's savings ?

A) Rs 3,740/-

B) Rs 3,420/-

C) Rs 4,230/-

D) Rs 3,230/-

E) Other than those given as options

Correct Answer:
B) Rs 3,420/-

Description for Correct answer:
Let Ridhi's monthly salary = x

Ridhi gives to her brother = x * \( \Large \frac{66}{100} \) x \( \Large \frac{1}{6} \) = \( \Large \frac{11x}{100} \)

Ridhi gives to her sister = x * \( \Large \frac{66}{100} \) x \( \Large \frac{2}{3} \) = \( \Large \frac{11x}{25} \)

Ridhi's savings = \( \Large \frac{66x}{100} \) [ 1 - \( \Large \frac{1}{6} \) - \( \Large \frac{2}{3} \) ]

According to question,

\( \Large \frac{11x}{25} \) - \( \Large \frac{11x}{100} \) = 10260

\( \Large \frac{3x11x}{100} \) = 1026

x = \( \Large \frac{11}{100} \)

Ridhi's savings = \( \Large \frac{11}{100} \) x \( \Large \frac{1026000}{33} \) = Rs 3420/-
