# Find the least number of square tiles for a terrace of 6.75 mts. long and 5.40 mts. breadth.

 A) 20 B) 45 C) 135 D) None of these

 A) 20

HCF of 675 and 540 gives each side of a tile. Which is 135 cm.

$$\Large \frac{675}{540},\ \frac{135}{45} = 0$$

Therefore, Number of tiles =$$\Large \frac{675 \times 540}{135 \times 135}$$

= $$\Large 5 \times 4 = 20$$
