2/5th of a number is two more than 1/3rd of another number. If the sum of the two numbers is 16, what is their product?

Description for Correct answer:
Let the first number = x

Second number = y

According to question,

\( \frac{2}{5}x=\frac{y}{3}+2 \) 6x = 5y+30

6x - 5y = 30 ....... (i)

x + y = 16 ...... (ii)

By solving equations (i) and (ii)

x = 10, y = 6

Required product = \( 10 \times 6 \) = 60
