A and B started a business by investing Rs.20000 and Rs. 25000, respectively. After 4 months B left and C joined by investing Rs.15000. At the end of the year, there was a profit of Rs.23000, what is C's share?
Correct Answer: Description for Correct answer:
A's share : B's share : C's share
=(20000 X 12) : (25000 X 4) : (15000 X 8)
= 240000: 100000 : 120000
= 24 : 10 : 12 = 12 : 5 : 6
Let A's share = 12x
B's share = 5x
C's share = 6x
According to the question,
12x +5x + 6x = 23000
23x = 23000
X= 23000 / 23 = 1000
C's share = 6x = 6 X 1000 = Rs.6000
