# Find the area of a rhombus whose one side is 13 cm. and the diagonal is 24 cm.

Area of rhombus = $$\Large \frac{1}{2} \times d_{1} \times d_{2}$$

To find the length of the diagonal AC.

$$\Large \triangle OAB,\ \angle AOB=90 ^{\circ}$$; OB = 12 cm; AB = 13 cm.

$$\Large AO^{2}=AB-OB^{2}=13^{2}-12^{2}=25$$

AO =$$\Large \sqrt{25}$$= 5 cm

Therefore, length of one diagonal is 10 cm and the length of another diagonal is 24 cm.

Therefore, Area of Rhombus = $$\Large \frac{1}{2} \times d_{1} \times d_{2}=\frac{1}{2} \times 10 \times 24$$ = 120 sq. cm.
