Sonali invests 15% of her monthly salary in insurance policies. She spends 55% of her monthly salary in shopping and on household expenses. She saves the remaining amount at Rs.12750. What is Sonali's monthly income?

A) Rs.42500

Description for Correct answer:

Total salary spent on insurance, shopping and household expenses = 15 + 55 = 70% Therefore, Saving = 100 - 70 = 30 %

Let the total salary be x.

Therefore, 30% of x = Rs.12750

Therefore, x = \( \Large \frac{12750 \times 100}{30} \) = Rs.42500
