Let number of boys be 300.

Number of girls = 200

Boys holding scholarship = \( \Large \frac{20}{100} \times 300 \) = 60

Girls holding scholarship = \( \Large \frac{25}{100} \times 200 \) = 50

Total students holding scholarship = 60 + 50 = 110

Therefore. Percentage of students not holding scholarship

= \( \Large \frac{500 - 110}{500} \times 100\% \)

= \( \Large \frac{390}{500} \times 100\% \) = 78%
