Data regarding the number of voters at 5 different centres : A, B, C, D, E
At Centre F, the total number of registered voters was 25% less than that at Centre C. At Centre F, number of people who voted was 450 less than that at Centre C and 150 votes cast were declared invalid. What was the respective ratio between the number of valid votes cast and the total number of registered voters at centre F ?
Correct Answer: Description for Correct answer:
Total number of registered voters at centre F = 3000 x \( \Large \frac{75}{100} \) = 2250
Number of people who voted at centre F
= 3000 x \( \Large \frac{70}{100} \) - 450
= 2100 - 450 = 1650
Valid votes = 1650 - 150 = 1500
Required ratio : 1500 : 2250 = 2 : 3
