At simple interest, a sum becomes 3 times in 20 yr. Find the time, in which the sum will be double at the same rate of interest.
Correct Answer: Description for Correct answer:
Let sum = P then for 20 yr
SI=(3P-P)=2P
2P=\( \Large \frac{P\times R\times 20}{100} \)
=> 2=\( \Large \frac{R}{5} \)
=> R=10%
Again, for another time (T)
SI= (2P-P)=P
P=\( \Large \frac{P\times 10\times T}{100} \)
T = 10 yr
