A) 400 sq. cm |
B) \( \Large 400 \sqrt{2} cm \) |
C) 800 sq. cm. |
D) \( \Large 800 \sqrt{2} cm \) |
C) 800 sq. cm. |
Area of isosceles right triangle
=\( \Large \frac{1}{2} \times BC \times AB \)
= \( \Large \frac{1}{2} \times x \times x \)
\( \Large 200 = \frac{1}{2}x^{2} \)
\( \Large \therefore x^{2} = 400 \)
\( \Large \therefore x = 2- cm\)
\( \Large \therefore AC = \sqrt{x^{2}+x^2} = \sqrt{2x^{2}} \)
= \( \Large \sqrt{2}x = 20\sqrt{2} cm \)
Now square is drawn on hypotenuse of isosceles right angle triangle.
Hence side of square = \( \Large AC = 20\sqrt{2} cm \)
Area of square = \( \Large \left(20\sqrt{2}\right)^{2} \) = 800 cm.
