While selling a watch, a shopkeeper gives a discount of 5%. If he gives a discount of 6%, he earns Rs.15 less as profit. What is the marked price of the watch?

A) Rs.1250

B) Rs.1400

C) Rs.1500

D) Rs.750

Correct Answer:
C) Rs.1500

Description for Correct answer:

Given, \( \Large r_{1} \) = 5%, \( \Large r_{2} \) = 6% and x = Rs.15

Let marked price of the watch be Rs.x.

Then, \( \Large \left(6-5\right)\% \  of \  x \) = 15

= x = \( \Large 15 \times 100 \)

Therefore, x = Rs.1500
